I'm @ThreadReaderApp a Twitter bot here to help you read threads more easily. To trigger me, you just have to reply to (or quote) any tweet of the thread you want to unroll and mention me with the "unroll" keyword and I'll send you a link back on Twitter 😀
Impt heads up: Twitter just announced basically the end of free Twitter API service for us. We are of course way above their new very restricted limits. wired.com/story/twitter-data…
We are apply for "enterprise access" but if rumors are true that they are charging $42,000/month (and up!), that is of course *far* beyond our reach. Yesterday, Twitter stated we have till April 29 before new rules kick in. Will keep y'all updated!
Some parts of Twitter may not be working as expected right now. We made an internal change that had some unintended consequences. We’re working on this now and will share an update when it’s fixed.
Just a heads up that there’s a lot of uncertainty as Twitter is going to start charging developers like us. We want to reassure the millions who use @ThreadReaderApp that we will try our darnest to keep unrolling threads free to all.
We have been busy with some updates to the Twitter API so you can continue to build and innovate with us.
We’re excited to announce an extension of the current free Twitter API access through February 13. Here’s what we’re shipping then 🧵
Tweetbot has been around for over 10 years, we've always complied with the Twitter API rules.
If there's some existing rule that we need to comply with, we'd be happy to do so, if possible. But we do need to know what it is...
@TwitterDev, you know how to reach us.
It seems like we are rate limited by Twitter right now 😭The threads are being unrolled on our site but we just can't reply that it's ready on Twitter...
Looks like our suggestion ban has been lifted. 🙏🏼@twitter We got this rather vague form letter, so not sure what happened.
Let us know if things look ok from your accounts
